We Are delighted to exhibit this amazing display here in Enniscorthy. Life in the Wilderness of Bantry – A Photographic Exhibition
This event is a Photographic Exhibition with a difference. Join us here in Enniscorthy Castle to enjoy a snapshot of history.
The collection of glass plates and acetate negatives are currently being archived and contain never before seen photographs of families, homes, buildings and local archaeology from the barony of Bantry. For the first time in over 100 years some of these photographs will be reproduced and displayed in Enniscorthy Castle.
The exhibition is organized by Jeremy Hill from Monksgrange Archives in conjunction with Enniscorthy Castle. Admission to the exhibition is free of charge. A Catalogue of the exhibition is available for €10 at the Castle Reception.
Pictured above is one of a number of rare and interesting photographs to be on display. It shows the first car owned in Co. Wexford, owned by Colonel Magrath and is photographed outside of Monksgrange house
